Baby Sleep Help is a Phone Call Away!

Having a baby is a joyous occasion, indeed, but it can also be a rather exhausting experience, too.  Babies don't sleep like we do, as their days and nights are ruled by feedings, wet diapers, and the need for love and snuggles.

I am here to offer you both hope and help to get your baby to sleep through the night and to take longer naps.  As an Infant and Toddler Sleep Consultant, I am passionate about supporting families as they make sleep a priority in their lives. Sleep is essential to both you and your baby's physical, mental, and emotional well being. Also, well rested children are normally more happy and healthy.  Let me help you on your journey to better sleep with Baby Sleep Consulting in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area and phone consults anywhere in the United States.

Lactation Help to You! Home Visits in Pittsburgh!

When you receive lactation help at the hospital, your milk has yet to come in. By day 3 - 5, your milk has arrived followed by concerns whether your baby is getting enough milk. What typically happens next, your baby falls asleep at the breast and wants to nurse every hour.

It's best to get help right away! I'll show you how to obtain a deep latch and how to keep your baby active and efficient when nursing. You'll learn how to recognize baby's swallows and feel confident to know that your baby had a good feed. Weight gain is important, especially with a newborn. New mom's appreciate the help in the comfort of their own home in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area.

My Approach

As a Baby Sleep Consultant, I offer expert sleep help for your infant and toddler.  Once I assess your situation, I will customize a plan that suits both your child's personality and your parenting style.  This plan will be tailored specifically to your baby and adjusted as we go.  I have used both sensitive or gentle approaches and more direct approaches to training babies to sleep.

Being a Lactation Consultant, I provide nursing moms with the knowledge of recognizing an active feed versus a baby that is simply pacifying at the breast.  With bottle fed babies too, I will give you guidance on keeping the baby awake during feeding, resulting in more calories for your baby.  More calories mean more energy and having more energy to feed will help gain the necessary weight, which is especially important in the early days.  With my assistance, your baby will be snacking less and feeding more which will enable your baby to sleep longer between feeds.

Infant massage is a wonderful way to bond with your baby. Parents will be taught gentle massage techniques which have both long and short-term benefits to infants and a positive impact on parents too. The main benefit for your baby is relaxation, which leads to a more calm baby that helps with the onset of sleep. Also, a special technique will be taught to help alleviate the discomfort of gas and constipation. Come join us and give your baby the lifelong benefits of nurturing touch. The class is open to expectant parents too.
